About Gary Gannaway

Gary Gannaway has been writing for as long as he can remember. But it was not until the early eighties when he co-produced a 16mm film,  Shooting Air,  written and directed by Scott Wade Purdin, that he began to concentrate on screenplays.  In 1984, he married Ginger Keller, and the two moved to Austin, Texas, where he continued writing and teaching.

His screenplays include Hey, Mister, co-written with Ginger; The Creature From Blood Canal, a finalist at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival in 2012; and Virgin Cheerleaders in Chains, which won the award for Best Screenplay at the same festival in 2013.

In 2013, Gary formed Big House Pictures, LLC,  for the purpose of developing, producing, and distributing independent films with low costs and high marketability.

Virgin Cheerleaders in Chains is his first produced screenplay. It will not be his last.
